Once in a lifetime ...

Someone was once talking about the "once in a lifetime experience .. " . I never really could understand what he was talking about ... untill one day , when everything actually meant smth... That day was the day we found out that the NATO Summit was going to take place in Romania ... That's the day when everything took a turn for the best ...

The people who were taking care of everything around there, told us that they need help, and a lot of people as Liasons Officers ...

Nobody knew what that meant... but everybody offered to help . And so , the testing began .

Foreign languages tests, medical exams, psychological exams, a lot of interviews, and a lot of security around us ... our backgrounds were checked "to the bone" and those of us who checked out clean at each and every test, and passed every interview, were picked as LO-s ...

After all the testing and picking, the actual training began .. sleepless nights, security tests, a lot of reconaissance ... and a lot of people to remember ... and all paid out after all ...

The Summit began and a lot of heads of states began arriving ... a lot of important personalities ...

We followed everybody everywhere, we were 'in the eye of the storm' so to speak ...

Everything turned out to be a breeze, everybody did their job just like they should have, and everybody was happy in the end ...

This is the 'once in a lifetime ' opportunity I got, beeing an LO at the Nato Summit ...

It changed my whole perspective on life, on people, and on the world ...

"when things can go bad, they will..." Whoever said that ... was damn right ....
Today was just the greatest day ever ... Fucked up morning call , no mood to stay awake, better yet get up ... Shitty classes to start the day ... ending with an even worse class ... special maths ... (don't know why I would need that ... )
I'm just sick of the whole education system in Romania ... Lots of courses you'll never use, and no explanation to ... why we should learn them ... Nobody can give you that , just shitty explanations like " you need them to know what goes on with the world around you " (like you couldn't just look around) ...
Why the %$#@ do we need to study ancient behaviours , and other stuff like that ... as an ENGINEER (ellectronics and stuff) ????
Any others think the same way ?

As the title says ... well, things aren't going that well ...
Bad things happen to people who just don't deserve them ...
Getting over the intro to this post , let's just take a moment for all of us who lost someone they loved, cared about, and just take a look in the past, at all the nice, fun stuff you used to do together ...
I'm starting this post because ... yesterday, I lost a friend ... not only a friend, but my girlfriend ... we've known each other for about 11 or 12 years, .. since we were kids ... and it all took a fall to the worst, last monday (14th Jan .... ) when a drunk driver crashed into her car ... totaled it and got my girl in a 2nd degree Coma ...
One week later, after all that the doctors tried, her body just couldn't survive anymore ... and it stopped ...
I saw her, while she was in a coma ... 5 minutes before she died ... After leaving the hospital ... (thus the 5 mins) I got a call from her sister , picked up ... expecting for the best ... but , there was a sigh on the other end of the line ... " She died ... "
This just comes to show ... that one should always keep his loved ones close to him/her . It's a dark thought to think about ... but life must go on ...
Coming back to everything ... that drunk driver got away with just a broken leg, a head injury and a broken arm ... He'll probably get 20-25 years in jail ... but that doesn't bring back her :-<
People .. please ... stop drinking and driving ....

This post is in her memory ... She will never be forgotten ....

Back To ... Life ...

Well , coming back to Bucharest is kinda unwanted, but, that's life, it isn't always fun and games...
Now I'm still unpacking my stuff and luggage and ... slowly start to realise that all that planning came down to nothing, because I obviously forgot to take some things from home, but, I hope I don't need them for now :D
Right now, I am trying to put together a little album for some friends of mine ...

The Last Week ...

So , it's all come down to this, the last week before the winter vacation, thus the winter holidays... How to deal with having to take the last mid-term, on the 20th of december, keeping in mind that the 21st ... is the last of University for this year ...
Well , that's just the last hill to climb before the loooong way down :D
During the last few days I've been thinking a lot about going snowboarding again :D and well, it started to snow, so that makes everything a lot harder to cope with ... Study on one side and FUN on the other.
But, that's that about studying, it should all end well on friday... Lots of snow waiting for me back home, my car in the garage, and a tank-full of gas :D what more can I ask for ? ....
I met some of my friends this week-end... some ooooold friends( haven't seen them since 2nd grade ) so ... that's something else ...

I've bought the Eee...

Well ... what can I say, it was calling me so ... I bought it :D
The new Asus Eee Pc (although it isn't a PC it's a kinda-mini-notebook, I'll just call it that, cos' that's it's name )
Now I gotta figure everything out , over LINUX (now that's something new to me).
Since I bought it, and untill now, I keep discovering new and awesome stuff about it, but the most important thing is ... IT'S DAMN SMALL
That's about it with my new Eee, stuff just keeps on coming...

I wonder ... why is this my blog ?
I still couldn't find a logical explanation or at least a reason for creating this . Maybe I just want to talk about things, people or whatever ...
